Night Film by Marisha Pessl

 I am currently reading Night Film. I am on page 106 and frankly, I'm not enjoying it as much as I wanted to. The premise of the book is intriguing, but the author spends too much time with description and unnecessary detail. I'm a fan of being descriptive, but in abundance it can be a bit overwhelming. I'm enjoying the mystery aspect, and the characters, but they don't seem to mesh well with each other. Maybe that's the idea? I don't know. I'm hoping it picks up the pace soon .

Born To Love, Cursed To Feel by Samantha King is a debut poetry collection about Love and everything that comes along with it. She writes about being cheated on, left, being in toxic relationships. ..etc. She does touch on the positives of being in a relationship as well. Poetry has always been a love of mine. I have recently just started to dive into some current poets, and I am loving it. Samantha King's writing is very relatable. (Dissappointing) August 2018 Wrap-Up

I had a shitty reading month in August. I managed to get through 3 books.  First I read: This is a non-fiction about a man's search for information on his biological parents, and stumbles into proof that his father was the notorious Zodiac Killer from Northern California who operated in the 1960's and 1970's.  (4/5 Stars)✮✮✮✮ Next I read: I won this book in a giveaway on Twitter from the author. It is a fast paced fiction in which a man who suffers from a psychotic break, due to the deaths of his wife and daughter, finds himself driving a car that he has no memory of getting into. And worse, there's a girl in the car that he apparently kidnapped, and he has no memory of that either.
